Estates procurement creates 270 employment opportunities

- Bishop Wilkinson Catholic Education Trust (BWCET) has launched a pioneering estates procurement initiative aimed at revolutionising the procurement of minor works contracts within the education sector.
- This initiative is a cornerstone of the Trust’s strategic estate management plan, encompassing a total investment of approximately £12 million over four years.
17 full-time equivalent (FTE) employment opportunities created
28 apprenticeship opportunities (Level 2, 3, and 4+) created or retained
890 training opportunities (Level 2, 3, and 4+) created
1360 number of people-hours of learning interventions delivered
296 people hours committed to deliver training/raise awareness of working within specific trades
152 work experience opportunities created
384 hours of career guidance and mentorship committed
74 flexible employment opportunities created
The program aims to improve supply chain efficiency, design innovation, and sustainability, focusing on decarbonisation, energy efficiency, and biodiversity
